MYO expands franchise opportunities

The DIY sandwich and salad retail franchise MYO has this week officially launched two new franchise models, giving prospective franchisees three levels of entry into the business. The Food Court and Kiosk models are designed to capitalise on strong growth in the shopping centre takeaway food market.
MYO managing director Byron Smith said “We anticipate growth of these two new models to outstrip the traditional MYO Café option thanks to strong demand and lower start up costs,” he said. “We expect to see at least three Food Court or Kiosk MYO stores open in the next 12 months in Australia and new store openings overseas as well.”
The new models would appeal to prospective franchisees seeking a strong revenue stream. “Our traditional Café model has been fantastic for franchisees who want the five day per week lifestyle but the new models will operate on a six or seven day retail cycle, providing increased revenue opportunities for new franchisees.”
The traditional Café franchise will retain its $300,000 entry price; the Food Court model will require investment from $275,000; and franchisees taking up the Kiosk option will spend a minimum of $250,000.
MYO has 24 franchises across Australia, Ireland and the UK.
